2026 Winter #4 – Tuesday
January 6, 2026 – by Carol in 2026, Winter 4, Tuesday, Weekly Meals
🍽️ The Menu
Today was a full-tilt Tuesday, so dinner pivoted accordingly. Frozen pizza stepped in as the no-thinking, no-cleanup solution — hot, familiar, and exactly what was needed to get food on a plate and medicine taken without turning the evening into a project. The planned ground meat meal is simply postponed, not abandoned. Flexibility is part of the system.

🔍 About the Meal
This wasn’t about creativity or nutrition math — it was about eating. Frozen pizza earns its place on weeks like this: dependable, familiar, and fast enough to keep the day from unraveling further. Not fancy, not planned, but absolutely successful.

📝 Tuesday Notes
Today’s dinner plan was no match for real-world interruptions. A late nurse practitioner visit pushed the schedule, and then my tablet — the keeper of all weekly recipes and handwritten notes — chose this exact moment to stop charging. With no recipes and no patience for improvising, frozen pizza made a perfectly acceptable guest appearance. The ground meat is already defrosted and waiting, so that meal gets promoted to Wednesday with zero hard feelings.
🎬 Behind the Scenes
The pizza stone preheated right along with the oven, which is always the goal. Once everything was hot, the frozen pizza went straight onto the Pampered Chef pizza stone, helping the crust rise evenly and the bottom crisp up just right — because cold stones make sad pizza.
If you don’t have a pizza stone, the pizza can go directly on the oven rack, but using a stone really does make all the difference in texture and rise.
