🍽️ The Menu
- Main Dish
- Lunch & Dinner: Leftover Chipotle bowls, courtesy of yesterday’s order. We both leaned into the no-cook vibes, and honestly? It worked.
- Side Dish
- Stephen’s dinner included a bonus Nathan’s hot dog, proving once again that leftovers aren’t always enough — especially when your body is adjusting to A1C meds and still thinks you’re 25.
- Embedded
- Pre-ordered Chipotle
- Grocery trip for sandwich supplies
- Real-life: zero desire to cook, zero guilt about it.

🔍 About the Meal
Our Everyday Food Journey doesn’t pause on Sunday — it just slows down. Today’s meals were about enjoying the moment, not making more dishes. We grabbed Chipotle for lunch at Mom and Dad’s, knowing full well it would carry us through dinner too.
Stephen split his into two meals (with a hot dog cameo at the end), and I had mine in one gloriously unfussy bowl. There were no pots to wash, no timers to check, just a delicious, satisfying reminder that sometimes the best meal is the one you didn’t cook.

📝 Sunday Notes
- A day of “no new cooking” that still delivered full meals? We love that.
- Stephen’s brown rice and extra protein plan for his A1C lasted until 7 PM when the hot dog made its entrance.
- I didn’t get all the blog photos I thought I needed — but turns out, I had exactly enough to tell the truth about this day.
🎬 Behind the Scenes
We left Mom and Dad’s just after 1:00 and hit Publix to prep for tomorrow’s Italian sandwich roll-ups. Thalia stayed home and missed out on the pork rinds — which she’ll be grumpy about later. By 1:46, I was in front of the TV, partially completed crochet afghan in hand, wondering how long I could stretch before dinner.
The answer? Until Stephen said, “I guess I’ll finish my Chipotle,” and I just nodded. That’s teamwork.
